MEIR Next Steps

You are required to have current versions of the following for your course:

1. ARN
2. Current Class 1 Aviation Medical
3. Current ASIC (RED)
4. Commercial Pilot Licence - Aeroplane

We will need to see copies of these documents before we can finalise your enrolment (if you have only recently completed your CPL, and have not yet received your licence, we'll need to see proof that you have passed the CPL A flight test and that your licence is currently being processed by CASA).

You can complete the Prerequisites Confirmation Form and upload copies of your Licence, Medical and ASIC below

This handbook covers important points of information that you need to be aware of before you start your course. Please read through and get in touch if you need anything clarified. Some of this information will also be covered in your Induction/Orientation session on your first day as well.

You will need to sign a copy of this document on your first day to confirm that you understand and accept all the points in the handbook.

You may have already had a chat with an instructor before returning your enrolment forms - if this is the case and you don't have any more training questions, you can skip this step!

To make sure you are prepared as possible to start training, one of our friendly team of instructors will get in touch to say hi and answer any questions you might have about training with us, aircraft options, the industry etc.

This conversation should only take a couple of minutes of your time. This chat is a requirement for enrolling in the course. Please let us know if there is a good time/date for someone to give you a call.

Townsville Flight Training uses specific text books and flight training materials for your IREX theory course. Textbooks for your theory course are not included in the Diploma of Aviation costs. Your book pack can be purchased directly through us.

Townsville Helicopters and Townsville Flight Training have set up a private Facebook group for students who are still looking for accommodation/other students to share with. We have also recently confirmed with James Cook University that they are happy for our students to book accommodation in their residences.
